How fitting to share this family’s images today! Part of this session was dedicated to capturing photos of their new house that they are restoring. Anyone who has restored a home knows that it is truly a labor of love! A lot of hard work, planning, money, blood, sweat and sometimes tears can go into it. This family wanted to document the beauty of this home before the Chicago winter had its way.
As I go through these images, I hope this family is cozy today in this beautiful home that they’ve created. And since it’s currently -21 in Chicago and school is canceled for the next two days, I think there’s a good chance they are.
I always love when a family chooses to have their family photo session in their home. The photos created will have such a special meaning. Also, some people are a little shy in front of the camera at first – being in a familiar setting can help with that a little bit.
