Chicago senior photos you regret? Not on my watch.
If we haven’t met yet, I’m Shalimar. I photograph high school seniors in Chicago, and I don’t do cookie-cutter.
You won’t find stiff smiles, awkward poses, or copy and paste photos that look like everyone else’s. What you will find is an experience designed to help you feel confident, seen, and fully yourself, even if you’ve never loved being in front of a camera.
And if you’re wondering, yes, everyone is welcome here. No weird vibes. Just a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
Because this was never just about pretty pictures. It’s about creating something real, together.
Nobody looks back and wishes they skipped their senior photos. But a lot of parents wish they had started thinking about them sooner.
Senior year is a big deal. Your photos should feel like that, not like something you have to check off a list.
It’s also a little bit more than “your camera takes really good pictures.” It’s an entire experience.

Standing in a field holding a fake smile like you’re waiting for the dentist to call you back. That’s not what we do here.
At Shalimar B Photography, my job is to guide you through every part of your session. I’ll show you how to move, where to look, and how to feel natural in front of the camera so nothing feels forced.
The awkwardness fades quickly. What’s left is you… Actually you.
With nearly two decades of experience, I know how to create images that feel genuine on purpose, not by accident. That confidence you see in my seniors is not luck. It’s something we build together throughout your session.
Hair and makeup are included because this should feel like more than just a photoshoot. It should feel like an experience you’ll remember. From the moment you arrive to the final gallery, every piece is designed with intention.
