how to make an alley in chicago look beautiful?  put beautiful people in it!  obviously, you can put this family anywhere and they’d make any place look beautiful!!!

trying to keep up with all my sessions lately!  spring is in the air – a great time for outdoor sessions and just in time for mother’s day!!  this little cutie was such a treat – with his curly hair and big blue eyes!!!

i love drool.  on babies, that is.   i love a chubby, happy baby that has a string of drool hanging from his mouth.  and i think it’s perfectly appropriate to capture that in a photo – depending on the context of the photo.  passport photo, probably not.  senior picture, i don’t think so.  6 […]

authentic –  {aw-then-tik}   adjective – not false or copied;  genuine;  real. can you be authentic if you’re wearing a fake smile?  can you be genuine if you’re saying “cheeeeeeese?”  is it real if your kids are sitting still and doing the two aforementioned?  i don’t think so . . .

this was my second session with this family – and i was so pleased they chose me to photograph the newest member.  he’s such a peanut and big sis is just as sweet as ever – look at those big brown eyes!!      

It was a beautiful day, and I was shooting a beautiful family. It’s amazing what can happen when you just step back and let things happen. These images are some of my all time favorites.

this was my third session with this great family – and it keeps getting better! little brother is so sweet – and he has a good teacher in big sister!
