smiling, crying, awake and asleep – he did it all with such style!

one thing i love about going home to michigan is taking photos of people that i love – friends and family. this is one of my gorgeous cousins and her beautiful family. wait, wasn’t i just babysitting her? (i babysat at a very young age, by the way!) and now she’s a mom??

someone recently made the observation that i seem to find joy in my work. what a compliment! and such a true statement. it doesn’t matter what is going on in my life, with my day, in the world . . . if something is bothering me, if i’m tired, if i’m distracted . . . […]

this family drove quite a way to come and see me – i’m so glad they did so i could see this guy’s sweet little face!

i know this sweet family from a past life, not in a shirley maclaine kind of way, but when i was doing something completely different.  it’s always so great to see old friends, especially when they have new babies!!    

these little girls, this whole family, was so sweet and so fun!
