What to wear to your family photography session?? So many moms stress about this – but really, it’s nothing to worry about. However, you should put some thought into it since your portrait session is an investment and you want to love the end product – and what you are wearing is part of that.

I advise people to NOT wear matching clothes – i.e. everyone in khaki pants and white shirts. I assume that’s not how a family lives their day to day life, all dressing the same, so why would you want that captured in your photos? Your wardrobe should reflect your family’s personal style – if your family is preppy then break out the polos and Lily Pulitzer. If you’re a little more rock and roll then maybe some ripped jeans and concert tees. Or, perhaps a happy medium?

Whatever it is, your family should feel great, beautiful, handsome and comfortable!

This is a fun color combination that I love for a spring/summer session that could be used for some inspiration.
