it’s no secret that i love to take pictures of kids! all kids – babies, toddlers, preschoolers even teenagers. often, i’ll take shots of a family. to me, these can be a little more challenging, only because most people feel like they need to look at the camera and say “cheese” (that’s the worst). they just end up looking fake.
for me, family photos are best when they capture the connection that the family has. if a family is comfortable enough to let their guard down and just act natural – those are the best images.
this session was with a great mom and her one year old – who is just as sweet as he can be with those big brown eyes. these are the type of family photos that i love. these are the kind that i wish i had of me and my mom – how great would it be to look at these as an adult, or to show your children or grandchildren, even?
