I’m so excited to share this sneak peek of one of my all-time favorite families. I started photographing this family when there was just one sweet boy, then two, and now THREE! I love seeing them every year – they always crack me up! Enjoy!
I love this image of my beautiful client. I mean, she’s gorgeous and she always looks radiant. But you know what I love the most? I love how her husband and youngest son are looking at her. Like she’s the only woman in the world. And to them, she is.
I hope she knows that. Maybe every time she looks at this image she will be reminded.
Being a mom isn’t easy. (Thanks, Captain Obvious!) It moves at a fast pace. It’s messy. There is usually crying involved – sometimes from all parties. When your kids start to get older and aren’t as dependent on you (which is a good thing!) and they have many different interests – sports, friends, Fortnite, Fortnite, oh, and Fortnite, you have to hold onto these little nuggets of love – the looks, the hugs and kisses they are willing to give and receive, the conversations. These are the things that make it all worth it. Because as the saying goes “If you do your job right, your kids will leave.” Or something like that.
I’m so glad that this mama will forever have this picture.
This little guy knows the Cubs are number one!! And I’m sure his family will be root, root rooting for the Cubbies tonight as they beat the Mets in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. What an exciting time to be a baseball fan in the city of Chicago! Let’s Go Cubbies!!!
i was working on this image and just had to post it . . . don’t you wonder what they are discussing? is he giving brotherly advice? or just making conversation? many of you know that i have two boys myself – ages 8 and 5. today was a rough morning – fighting, kicking and screaming. i made them hold hands all the way to school – by the time we got there they were both laughing. this image reminded me that there are times when my boys are like this – best buddies.
